TRAM operates on a first come, first served basis, therefore passengers are urged to schedule rides as far in whop as possible.  Reservations are wonted daily between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. No reservations will be scheduled without 3:00 p.m. for the pursuit day.  The forfeit to ride TRAM is $9.00 round-trip and $7.00 one way. Effective October 1, 2018, the forfeit to ride TRAM will be $10.00 round-trip and $8.00 one way. Passengers must have a ticket to utilize TRAM. Tickets are sold at the TRAM office or can be ordered by mail.  Payment for mail orders must be in the form of trammels or money order.  In addition, mazuma transactions are wonted at the TRAM office.  Please teach the scheduler if a stop at the TRAM office will be necessary for the purchase of ticket(s).  There is no limit to the number of tickets which may be purchased at one time. Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE and do not expire.  Drivers do not handle money for ticket orders. TRAM Hours of Operation: Office Hours:  819 Cook Avenue, Huntsville, AL 35801 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday   Transportation Hours:  Monday through Thursday 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.   Morning pickup times:  7:00-8:00 a.m. Final pickups leaving Huntsville begin:  Monday-Thursday 1:00 p.m.                                                                    Friday 12:00 p.m.   TRAM does not run on county holidays. A request for reasonable walk-up may be made to the TRAM Operations & Training Coordinator by calling 256.532.3792. Requests will be evaluated on a specimen by specimen basis. TRAM vans are equipped with lifts which may be utilized for boarding and disembarking.  The lifts unbend standard sized wheelchairs. Please make sure to inform the scheduler if you have an oversized wheelchair. We will do our weightier to squire passengers with oversized wheelchairs; however, all wheelchairs and passengers must be properly secured on the lift and on the van. Wheelchairs must have wieldy tie lanugo points. The maximum weight unliable for passenger and wheelchair is 800 lbs. Ride Cancellations:  If you need to cancel a trip, please do so at least 1 hour prior to your scheduled pick-up time. The TRAM suburbanite will wait 5 minutes for you at your pickup location. If you do not cancel, the ride will be considered a "No Show". Two (2) "No Shows" or non-cancellations within a 60 day period will result in a 30 day suspension from TRAM. Continued condone for the "No Show" policy will result in an spare 30 day suspension for each non-cancelled trip. Rules of self-mastery for TRAM passengers: 1.   ALL PASSENGERS MUST BUCKLE THEIR SEATBELT, STAY SEATED AND KEEP SEATBELTS PROPERLY SECURED. CHILDREN MUST BE SECURED IN AN FTA APPROVED CHILD SAFETY SEAT. Parents/guardians must provide the necessary child safety seat and are responsible for securing the seat and the child passenger.    2.    LIMIT TALKING TO THE DRIVER   3.    NO STRONG OR OFFENSIVE BODY ODORS.   4.  NO VISIBLE LESIONS, PORTS OR WOUNDS THAT ARE OPEN AND DRY, WEEPING OR BLEEDING WHICH MIGHT BE HAZARDOUS TO OTHER PASSENGERS AND/OR THE DRIVER. BLEEDING MUST BE STOPPED PRIOR TO SERVICE.   5.  PARCELS AND PACKAGES MUST FIT UNDER THE SEAT.   6.    NO LOUD OR OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE, OFFENSIVE GESTURING OR TOUCHING.    7.    NO ELECTRONIC GAMING/MUSIC EQUIPMENT, etc.    8.    NO EATING, DRINKING OR SMOKING.   9.  MAY NOT BE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUGS.   10.  NO MISCONDUCT OR ABUSIVE CONDUCT TOWARD THE DRIVER OR OTHER PASSENGERS.   11. ALL SCHEDULING AND SCHEDULE CHANGES MUST BE MADE THROUGH THE TRAM OFFICE. Service Disruption Policy TRAM services may be interrupted for the pursuit purposes: Inclement Weather TRAM service may be cancelled due to severe weather that could result in hazardous driving conditions.Trammelsyour local news for merchantry closings or go to the Madison County Commission website at www.madisoncountyal.gov If the Madison County Courthouse is closed, TRAM will not run. In the event of severe weather, every effort will be made to ensure the safety of TRAM passengers and drivers. The guidelines for severe weather are as follows: 1. Tornado Watches or Warnings Weather radio and news channels will be monitored when conditions warrant a tornado watch. If a tornado warning is issued, drivers will be notified and instructed to proceed to or remain in a unscratched place withal the route and remain there until the warning has lifted. 2. Floods or Heavy Rain If rain is so heavy that visibility is impaired, the suburbanite should pull off the road in a unscratched area, such as a parking lot, until the rain has passed and visibility has improved. Speed should be reduced. TRAM vans are not to navigate a flooded road. The suburbanite should notify the Operations Coordinator if a road is impassable, and they will work together to determine an unorganized route. 3. Snow or Ice If a winter weather event severe unbearable to tropical roads occurs overnight, the suburbanite should contact the Operations Coordinator for instructions. TRAM will not operate if Madison County Schools and/or the Madison County Courthouse are closed. If opening is delayed, passengers will be contacted to determine if they are still in need of transportation service. The Operations Coordinator will revise routes as needed. Full-time staff will report to the courthouse when it opens, plane if there are no passengers that day. 4. High Winds If sustained winds of 25 miles per hour are predicted services may be elapsed or cancelled based on a review of weather reports by the Director. Other: When situations upspring that relate to TRAM safety, evaluation of information will be made to determine what is in the weightier interest of TRAM passengers. If it is unswayable that service will be interrupted, passengers will be notified prior to their regularly scheduled pick-up time. All efforts will be made to resolve the problem so that TRAM may resume services as quickly as possible.
