Invitation for Bids are sent to vendors that are registered through the Madison County Bidder Registration System. Vendors return sealed bids to the Purchasing Department prior to 2:00 p.m. on the opening date. Bids are opened in the Madison County Commission Boardroom. In cases where purchases will not exceed $15,000.00, a upper level of competition is moreover maintained through quotations, which is increasingly flexible. Minor purchases under $1,000.00 may be purchased by county departments upon clearance from the Purchasing Department.
